The Faux Film Festival has set the schedule and will open with “Blood of the Cross.” That’s right, on March 28th at 7:00pm, “Blood of the Cross” hopes to set the tone for a weekend of satires, spoofs, and the like. It should be great fun.

“Blood of the Cross” will screen at the “Faux Film Festival” in Portland. The festival, which has not set the schedule yet, is from March 28-30. It shows satires, spoofs, and parodies. And it looks like a hilarious line up of films.
I’ll post when they set the schedule.

Psst. Come closer. Lij and I have something to tell you.

We won the Audience Choice Award at the “First Sunday’s Comedy Film Festival” in NYC.

Charlie got the big laughs at this screening. I think the New York attitude worked well. The little goomba even came to the screening. And Julie Nunis, Sandra Defazio, Dan Fried and Lij Kerai all blessed us with their beautiful faces. What a treat.
The Pioneer Theatre is a truly priceless venue in New York City. It’s a place for independent films to be seen in higher quality formats than most festivals. You can buy popcorn in the theatre and get a slice of pizza next door. Jay Stern, the festival director, was wonderful to deal with. He was on top of everything and made the screening a true delight.
An “Audience Choice Award” in New York City… what fun!!!

The First Sundays Comedy Film Festival is screening “Blood of the Cross” on December 2 at 7:00 pm. ***Buy tickets here.*** It’s a real Christmas Comedy. Come to the lovely Pioneer Theatre on the lower east side and have some laughs. It’s a sweet 99 seat movie theatre. For more information about the theatre and places to stay nearby: About the Pioneer. Charlie might show up in his Soldier’s costume. And Lij, you’re going to have to put some clothes on. This isn’t Los Angeles.
If anyone is in Syracuse, stop by and see the B-Movie Festival screening on Oct 28th at the Palace Theatre. It looks like a lot of fun. It’s a Halloween comedy.

The Kern Projections Film Festival was interesting. I was treated very nicely by the staff.
I had the pleasure of staying in Bakersfield, where I was terrorized by a Hummer - riding inches from my bumper and revving his engine. After 15 minutes, he looked for trouble elsewhere. He must have been bored in Bakersfield. Someone should have told him about the Kern Projections Film Festival. Then some pedestrians pounded on my hood while I was at a red light. Guys, again, there’s a film festival in town. If they only knew. If these people dared to throw down - I would have bedazzled them with stage combat.

We just got back from the Dragon*Con Film Festival. It was a total blast. Storm Troopers, Aliens, and Romulens were everywhere. I was normal and boring there. It is a whole convention of fun stuff. The film festival was just one part of the whole event.
The screening was awesome! The audience was very receptive. Lots of loud laughs. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the world premiere. I was very nervous. You should have seen the armpit sweat marks on my shirt. It was there in full force after the screening for the Q&A session. I gave my wife a camera to take pictures - but I think she was so excited to see me up on stage, that she forgot to take pictures. I’m filing for divorce tomorrow.
At Dragon*Con, we were invited to screen at the “1st Sundays Comedy Film Festival” in NYC. Sweet. I will post when the date is solid.
If you still want to see my terrible sweat stains - here’s a picture of me with Fuzzy Captain America. Who was sweating more? The 5th Element was not sweating.

“Blood of the Cross” is now listed on IMDB. The new title is up… but it’s not complete yet. I submitted all the information. It just takes time for IMDB to accept and post the credits.
Also, I am going to Atlanta to attend the screening at “The Dragon*Con Independent Short Film Festival.”
